Testimonials

I find the Ophthalmic Coding Specialist Exam to be a vital part of training and education for many of our associates including our billers, front desk and technical personnel. This is the only designation in our specialty that guarantees the knowledge needed to accurately code and submit ophthalmic claims. The fact that this designation requires testing every three years encourages staff to stay informed and continually educate themselves, which is vital in the current era of change we are experiencing. What greater investment in the future of our practice can we make?”
Sandra D. Curd, MBA, COE, COA, OCS

“Ophthalmologists like myself who have pursued an OCS Certificate of Completion have realized a real benefit in capturing all eligible, billable services legally. I can sleep well knowing I am justified and confident in my coding competence. In these days of declining reimbursement, I would recommend all ophthalmologists, but particularly young docs, consider the OCS examination to be a requirement.”
