Dear Dr. _________________,
As your practice administrator/manager, I take pride in my duty to ensure the effective management of your practice. Ophthalmic practice management has become increasingly complex, requiring knowledge and expertise in a number of areas. Furthermore, legislative changes and an uncertain economy have further accelerated the challenge of maintaining a healthy bottom line. It is therefore vital that I acquire new skills and knowledge in order to face new challenges and changes every year. I request your permission to attend the AAOE program of the 2010 Joint Meeting as a vital investment into the growth, improved efficiency and overall management of your practice.
The AAOE program of the 2010 Joint Meeting, featuring 76 courses in business operations, finance, human resources, coding and reimbursement, compliance and risk management, human resources, information technology, business development and marketing strategies, has been developed to help ophthalmic administrators meet these and other challenges.
Other practice managers consistently support the value of the AAOE program. For example, some have reported picking up a single new coding tip which has more than paid for the meeting. Also, having the opportunity to network with peers and practice management consultants will provide me with crucial resources that I can rely on throughout the year when faced with challenges. As you depend on continuing education to keep up to date on your skills, I also need continuing education to be my very best.
I am confident that I will return to the practice energized and ready to put my new knowledge to immediate use. As an AAOE member, my registration to attend the AAOE program is free and includes 17 hours of free events plus the opportunity to schedule a free 20 minute consultation with a practice management consultant.
I urge you to support me in sharpening the saw to help your practice grow. I believe that attending such an educational conference is vital during these competitive times.
Sincerely,
(Name)
Practice/Administrator Manager
